The adidas Challenge Speed is a blade for modern top players who demand high levels of power and superb balance at the same time. It is based on a classic 7-ply construction. The result is a thinner blade which maintains speed, and also provides an enhanced feeling and reduced weight. Although the Challenge Speed is a very powerful blade, its stability and soft feeling on the surface makes it very easy to use. It is ideal for offensive players who want to add power to the topspin while keeping the natural feeling of an all-wood blade.
